Review: Essence Stay Matt Lip Creams

This Essence products will be leaving forever very soon, so I thought I might write a review to let you guys know that this is something you want to get before it's too late. These are the essence's Stay matt lip creams, and they come in 4 different shades: 04 silky red, 02 smooth berry, 01 velvet rose and 03 soft nude. They are matt, very pigmented lip creams. These products are easy to apply. They cost only 18kn, and when they go on sale soon, they'll be even cheaper, but if you want the red or the berry shade, I'd suggest getting them now, because it would be a real shame to miss them.
Now let's talk about the individual shades:
04 silky red - This is just perfection for me. It's very in-your-face red, but I think everyone should have a bold red like this one. Easy to apply, amazing pigmentation, this is just flawless.
02 smooth berry - This shade is a less matte than the red version, but it also offers great pigmentation. It's a dark-pink-raspberry shade. This shade seems to me to be very usable, it's not too dark. It's a great pop of colour.
01 velvet rose - Honestly, I tried getting along with this shade, but it's not working for me. I've seen other girls wearing it, and it looks great on them, it just doesn't work for me. It seems too light for my skin tone, and I look 13 years old when I wear it. I don't know, I guess this is just a bad match for me.
03 soft nude - I don't know in what universe this is a 'soft' or a 'nude'. It's cappuccino-brown. At least that's what it looks like on me. I have tried wearing it, it just looks like I'm wearing brown lipstick (I am very fair-skinned). Anyways, this is the worst shade of the lot for me - it's just too dark, not soft at all.

The thing all these products have in common is that they all have a candy smell when you open the bottle, but I never feel the smell once the product is applied - so don't let that stop you from getting this product. The brush is a typical brush you can find in most lip glosses, but this one, for some reason tickles me so much when I apply the product. Funny, right? It's a shame these products are leaving the standard range, I think these were the best lip products essence had to offer. However, new matt lip creams will be arriving, so we'll see how those turn out.
Now, the sad thing about these products is - they don't have a safety-seal, and there are no testers available - so, basically, you will need to go literally to 10 stores in search for a product that no one has touched. Disgusting, right? And it's not easy to tell if someone's used it, like for instance with lipstick. Sometimes I wish I lived in the USA, where all beauty products are sealed. How awesome would that be, right? Seriously, this is a huge minus for any brand. But, to my great horror, most cheaper brands in Europe do not seal their products. *Insert sad face*

So, I know many of you have these products already, are you upset that they're leaving? Will you be buying a spare red shade, just in case? Will you wait for the essence sale to finally buy some of these? Let me know. And thanks for stopping by!
