Essence Longlasting Lipstick: Matt Wanted

Hello ladies! I already talked about a few lipsticks from this line, it's essence's longlasting lipsticks. Most of them do not have a matt finish; however, recently they came out with some matt ones. I already reviewed two matt shades, and now here is the one that's left: no. 18, Matt Wanted.

Would I repurchase: Probably not, this shade is not my cup of tea.

My opinion: First of all, I don't think this lipstick can be qualified as longlasting: you can get 4 hours out of it, but not even that much if you're drinking or eating. I like the packaging and the shape of the lipstick because it's easy to work with. Application is easy, this shade (as all of their lipsticks) easily slides onto your lips. I'm not loving this shade as much as I love no. 14 (no.14 is also a matt red shade). This shade is all sorts of wrong for my skin tone. I do not usually wear such dark red shades. It's not an ugly shade, don't get me wrong, it's just sort of a dark, deep wine-red which is not what I usually go for. I just don't wear similar shades, so I guess I don't like how this looks on me (it would look nicer on a tan person, IMO). Another thing I do not like is how much it accentuates the dry parts of my lips. It literally makes every line stand out. And the finish is not a creamy-matt, it's more of a matt with a metallic-shine crust on top of it. This sort of an unusual finish has made a few girls say it's not really a matt shade. It is, but it's like it has a oil-spill effect to it. I'm not liking it. When I wear this shade, I usually apply it, and then dab some of it off with a tissue so that I'm only left with a stain, because that way it doesn't look as heavy as it does when you do not dab most of it off. Below you can see the swatches, and I also compared it to the 'brother shade', the no.14 from the same line. No. 14 is a much better fit for me, and I like it a lot better. Unlike no. 14 which has a strong pink undertone, this shade is all red.

This product is for you if: If you're looking for a darker shade of red, and you have a budget. If you're just starting with matt lipsticks, this range is great for beginners.

You should avoid this product if: If you have Catrice (or better) matt lipsticks - because after those, this one's formula will be a disappointment. It's not a total disaster, it's workable, but there is a notable difference in quality.

Comparison: I compared both red matt shades from this line: no. 18 and no. 14. Personally, I prefer no. 14, it's a better fit for my skin tone, and I like the formula a little better.

Hopefully this post was helpful. I'm not so crazy about this shade, I prefer no. 14. However, this essence line is great because you have a wide variety of good lipsticks for such a cheap price. And brand new shades are coming to the range soon (I'm really excited about some nude ones). However, I prefer Catrice's matt lipsticks when it comes to drugstore brands available here.

Avon, 'Two Timer' Ruž Za Usne, Recenzija

Pozdrav! Danas brbljam s vama o jednom (tj. dva u jednom) Avonovom ružu kojeg sam uzela prije nekoliko mjeseci. To je 2 u 1 ruž, dvije različite nijanse u istom proizvodu. Hm, zvuči dobro, ali u stvarnosti je dosta zeznut za korištenje. Makar, iz njega mogu izvući 5 različitih look-ova (znači da ipak nije za baciti).

Tip proizvoda: Ruž za usne (2 nijanse u 1 proizvodu), lagane 'glossy' teksture (podsjeća na melem)

Ime proizvoda: Avon Colortrend, Naughty or Nice ruž za usne, nijansa 'Two Timer'

Cijena: 17 kn (cijena se mijenja sa svakim katalogom)

Ocjena: 5/10

Kupila bih ponovno: Meeh, nije me se previše dojmio, pa ne bih.

Moje mišljenje: Što se tiče pakiranja, ruž dolazi u čvrstom pakiranju i može ga se nositi sa sobom u torbi (neće se raspasti). Dizajn pakiranja je sladak (ovo neko nacrtano cvijeće, I'm feeling it LOL). Naravno, ruž dolazi zamotan u zaštitnu foliju, pa znate da ga nitko nije dirao prije vas (amen!). Loša strana pakiranja je ta što dobijete dva ruža u jednom, a to je zeznuto kada ruž treba nanijeti. Nikako, ali baš nikako nisam u stanju nanijeti ovaj ruž direktno na usne (a bez da pomiješam boje). Znači, nanošenje kistom je jedina opcija, a ta opcija mi nije baš najdraža. Ruž ima slatkasti miris (parfemski) koji uopće ne cijenim. Što se tiče nijansi, nude nijansa mi se čak i jako sviđa. Dosta je prozirna, pa izgledam kao da nosim malo balzama za usne. Ova nijansa ima sićušan glitter u sebi i ruž se sakuplja u linijama usana nakon nekog vremena. Ako se stavi deblji sloj, ova nijansa ima onaj pearl-efekt koji ja nažalost dobro prepoznajem iz bisernog-labella (najgori look ikada). Što se tiče crvene nijanse, jako je kričava (flamenco crvena). Budući da mi je ova nijansa prekričava za svaki dan, nosim ju tako da prvo nanesem ruž, a zatim maramicom 'blottam' većinu ruža, i tako dobijem predivan (i nježan) blush-look (tada nijansa više nije crvena nego vuče na koraljnu). Zapravo mi je najdraži look kada prvo nanesem nude nijansu, a preko crvenu, koju utapkam prstima. Time se dobije jedan lagani 'tinted' look. Možda bi mi se ruž puno više sviđao da nema ove zeznute aplikacije. Obje nijanse su lagane teksture, klize po usnama, ali to istovremeno znači da neće dugo trajati (posebno ako jedete ili pijete).

Zaključak: Ima pozitivne strane, ali ne uživam previše u ovom proizvodu. Da se iskoristiti, ali ne veseli me kao neki drugi ruževi.

Ovaj proizvod je za tebe: Ako želiš dvije različite nijanse (i 5 različitih lookova) za 17 kn, a ne smeta ti nanositi ruž prstima ili kistom.

Izbjegavaj ako: Ako ti je bitna dugotrajnost, ako ne voliš slatkaste mirise ili ako si naviknuta nanositi ruž bez kistova.

Mogu pronaći nekoliko dobrih stvari kod ovog ruža, ali jednostavno ne uživam u njemu, a čak i kada dobro izgleda, svejedno čitavo vrijeme trpim taj preslatkasti miris. Proizvod ima dobrih strana , ali meni jednostavno ne odgovara. Je li itko probao ovu liniju ruževa? Prvo sam htjela uzeti onu narančasto-rozu verziju (Twisted Sister), ali sam odustala (narančasti ruž ipak nije za mene).

Ruževi za 8 kuna: Da ili Ne ?

CROATIAN ONLY. Pozdrav svima! U današnjem postu podijelit ću s vama moje mišljenje o ruževima koje možete nabaviti u Offertissimi za, dobro ste čuli, 8 kuna. Ovo mi je prvi put da imam ovako jeftine ruževe 'žbrnj' marke, tako da nisam puno očekivala. Puno cura kupuje njihove lakove za nokte (koji meni nisu neki), tako da ste možda spazili ovu marku. 

Moment Europe Make-up, Mate Lipsticks, 8 kn (4g), Offertissima (Proizvedeni u Španjolskoj)

Ove ruževe možete slobodno preskočiti. Dok im cijena nije puno niža od cijene essence ruževa (ovi ruževi su dostupni za 8 kn, dok essence ima ruževe za 19kn (na popustu za 9,99kn), essence također ima olovke za usne za 8.90 kn), sa essence ruževima dobit ćete neusporedivo bolju kvalitetu. Na ovim ruževima vidi se da su jeftini: od pakiranja, smrada, teksture, sve do osjećaja na usnama. Najlošija nijansa je definitivno ova crno-ljubičasta, dok je crvena puno bolja (najsličnija essence kvaliteti, ali ipak miljama daleko od toga). Kada nosim ove ruževe osjećam se čudno, osjećaj na usnama nije ugodan, dobijem glavobolju od 'mirisa', i tako dalje. Ruževi imaju teksturu sheer-ruževa, tj. lako se nanose. Pakiranje je iznimno loše, nepouzdano i lako lomljivo. Što se tiče toga da su mat finiša, ne bih rekla da to stoji. Malo su mat (jedva), a ruž se skuplja na rubovima usana pa vizualni dojam nije dobar. Agresivno isušuju usne te nakon nošenja treba posvetiti pažnju njezi usana.

Roza nijansa (br. 26): Malo presvijetla za moj ukus. Pruža ujednačenu boju, ali pigmentacija je loša.

Crvena nijansa (br. 28): Ovu nijansu ne bih nazvala mat nijansom (ima sjaj). Po kvaliteti se izdvaja od druga dva jer nije toliko loša (možda bi i mogla proći da nema neugodnog mirisa). Boja je lijepa, ima najbolju pigmentaciju od ova tri ruža. Nijansa je crvena koja naginje prema tamnoj rozoj.

Ljubičasta nijansa (br. 36): Makar izgleda crno u pakiranju, ovo je ljubičasta nijansa. Iznimno je loše pigmentacije (kao polu-prozirno sjajilo za usne), i mora se puno nanijeti da ne izgleda 'sheer'. Teško je postići ujednačen nanos boje. Na usnama izgleda kao ostatak soka od grožđa. Slična je onoj nijansi koju nosi Lorde, osim što je po kvaliteti 0 bodova. Vrlo se lako briše čim pomičete usne (brbljanje će ukloniti ovu nijansu). Ne bih rekla da je mat. 

Ne znam da li da ovo podijelim s vama ili ne, ALI na prvom mjestu na popisu sastojaka stoji ricinusovo ulje. Ne znam koliko su ga stavili unutra ALI čim nanesem bilo koji Moment ruž, prate me nuspojave/pojave povezane s ricinusovim uljem, haha, da se bar zafrkavam!!! Ozbiljno, ovakve gluposti vam ne trebaju. Ako tražite jeftine ruževe, essence je izbacio tri nove matt nijanse (14, 15 i 18) koje su fenomenalne, a i Catrice ima super mat ruževa za samo 33 kn. Ove Moment ruževe nećete moći koristiti. Naravno, neće vam se dogoditi ništa strašno ako ih uzmete i isprobate, neće vam izbiti nikakva reakcija ili tome slično (osim što ćete morati trčati na WC, bwahahaha), ali čemu se glupirati s ovakvim proizvodom kad za 12 kuna više možete dobiti nešto s čim nećete imati toliko različitih problema?

A Huge Catrice Dupe Alert: Lipsticks

Hey guys! The newest Catrice products are slowly making their way to our stores, and I was so excited about the two brand new matte lipsticks (MATTador and MATTraction). I do have other Catrice matte or semi-matte lipsticks (limited editions, etc.), so I was very excited about these two new ones. However, it turns out - I already have them! When I went to the store, I brought with me my other Catrice matte lipsticks (to compare and see), and they're exactly alike.

So, let me say what's going on here. Do you remember a limited edition from the end of last year, it was called ''Feathers and Pearls''? Well, this Catrice limited edition had three semi-matte/matte lipsticks available. I got two shades: Roaring Red and Josephine's Joy. This limited edition was extremely popular and the lipsticks were amazing. I brought these two shades with me to the store, just to compare them with the newest matte aditions (I had a gut feeling, what can I say). The two new lipstick shades Catrice has released are 350 MATTador and 360 MATTraction (what great names, right?). Anyways, let me break it down for you:

Roaring red is the exact same shade and texture as MATTador.

Josephine's Joy is the exact same shade and texture as MATTraction.

Just look at the photos and judge for yourself.

Let me be very clear: these lipsticks are AMAZING, that's not the issue here. The shades are classic stunning reds. The texture is matte, but doesn't dry out lips. And they're long lasting. However, all I wanted to do is give a heads-up to all of you that already own these lipsticks, but you just don't know it yet.

A part of me is happy: I was smart enough to remember that Catrice sometimes does this, and saved myself from getting the exact same product. I am also happy that these amazing and beautiful shades are available AGAIN for all of you who missed them in the limited edition.

A part of me is sad: I will not be getting two new lipsticks. *insert sad face*

I guess I'm not very angry with Catrice; I would have been angry had I purchased this again. I guess they do a lot of limited editions, and when they see that some products are very good and popular, they introduce them to the standard range. Wet'n'Wild Ruževi: Smokin' Hot Pink i Stoplight Red

Pozdrav svima! Danas donosim recenziju koja već dugo čeka svjetlo dana. Wet'n'wild se već ustalio u Hrvatskoj, a ovo predstavljam danas: wet'n'wild MEGA LAST LIP COLOR ruževe: Smokin' Hot Pink i Stoplight Red. Imaju i dobre i loše strane, ali isplati se dati šansu ovoj marki.

Prvo da kažem nešto za oba ruža: cijena od 22 kune (3.3 grama) je stvarno super. Možete ih naći u nekim dm-ovima i Accessorize dućanima (inače DM ima popust od 30% na svu dekorativu ovaj vikend). Za ovu nisku cijenu dobijete visoku kvalitetu boje i jako dobru pigmentaciju. Ono što je dobro jest da svi ruževi imaju zaštitnu foliju (pa znate da ih glupače nisu maljale u dućanu, a i testeri su dostupni, makar testeri neće spriječiti glupače koje vole maljati nove proizvode, šta ćeš). Loša strana: katastrofa pakiranje, pogotovo za svakodnevnu upotrebu. Ruž je napravljen na čudan način, tako da ruž uvijek viri izvan crnog dijela u prozirni poklopac. Možda to izgleda ok, ali i s najstabilnijim rukama zahvatiti ćete ga i okrhnuti. A onda će ruž zapeti u utore prozirnog poklopca; uglavnom - imat ćete maljav nered. Šteta zbog pakiranja, jer može se naći stvarno dobrih nijansi. Što se tiče oblika ruža, oblik je krug - za mene to znači zeznutu i nezgodnu aplikaciju. Volim oblik Catrice ruževa, njih mogu nanositi direktno na usne. Ove ruževe je meni prezeznuto nanijeti direktno na usne, pa prvo nanesem lipliner, zatim kistom nanosim Wet'n'Wild ruž, a na kraju direktno ružem popunjavam sredinu usana. Zeznuto mi je to i ne sviđa mi se. Možda će vama biti lakše, ali eto meni je zeznuto. Inače ruževi nemaju nikakav miris ili okus, tako da dobijete samo boju, bez neugodnih nuspojava. ;)

Smokin' Hot Pink - E 905 D (Rose affriolant)

Pigmentacija ovog ruža je čista desetka. Ruž ima mat finiš, te je suše teksture, što otežava aplikaciju. Nakon nekoliko sati će isušiti usne, pa ga preporučujem samo za usne koje su u dobrom stanju. Drži se jako dugo, satima, ali će se skinuti ako jedete hranu (posebno pizzu, hehe). Nijansa je mix flamenco crvene i tamne hot-pink boje. Nikako nije takva hot pink da nije nosiva za svaki dan, više mi baca na crveni ruž s tamno-rozim podtonom. 

Stoplight Red - E 911 D (Feu rouge)

Još jedan ruž sjajne pigmentacije. Inače nisam uzela 'Velvet Red' jer je nešto kričaviji od ove nijanse. Ima kremastiju teksturu od Smokin' Hot Pink, pa je utoliko i aplikacija lakša. Što se tiče nijanse, ovo je ona klasična crvena za koju vam svi časopisi govore da ju svaka žena MORA imati. Ovaj ruž može biti mat, ako ga blottate. Inače ne bih ovu nijansu nazvala mat nijansom; nema neki sjaj, ali je različita od prve - više sliči maslacu, pa s time dolazi i određeni sjaj. Budući da je manje mat od prve, trajanje joj je kraće, ali svejedno dobro. Ovu nosim obavezno s liplinerom, budući da mi se zna preliti izvan usana (što se meni NIKADA ne događa).

Par fotki obje nijanse jedne do druge, ne znam vidi li se da uopće nisu toliko različite:

Ovi ruževi su za vas: ako tražite jaku pigmentaciju za malo para, a ne smeta vam nanositi ruževe kistom.

Izbjegavajte ako: ste navikli nanositi ruževe na brzinu i nemate vremena za preciznu aplikaciju.

Sve u svemu dosta dobri proizvodi. Za mene bi bili 100 puta bolji da je oblik ruža onaj klasični, jer ova sfera mi nikako ne odgovara. Definitivno najbolja pigmentacija za najmanje novaca.

New Essence Matt Lipsticks: 14 'Adorable Matt!' and 15 'Oh So Matt!'

Hello! These two new lipsticks from essence are available now as part of the 'New in town' edition, but they will be joining the standard range soon. The shades are no.14 'Adorable matt!' and no.15 'Oh so matt!'. I like them a lot better than the rest of the range, because I love the texture and the matt finish. You will not regret buying these.

Where to purchase: Currently at Muller, later in all essence stands as part of the new range update
My opinion: The packaging is great - sturdy and safe. The shape of the lipstick is my favorite, it's easy to work with and control, so you can apply it on your lips directly (without having to use a brush). The texture is great, they're creamy textured and light, they glide on your lips, and do not have a dry texture (so it's easy to apply them). Both shades don't dry out the lips and don't emphasize the dry parts of the lips. The nude shade is a nude dark- soft pink, almost the same shade as my lips. It's not too light, so you won't look like a ghost. It's a very sheer-shade, not as pigmented as the red one. The ''red'' shade is more of a darker-hot pink, but on the lips is looks more red than dark-pink. These two lipsticks are the first matt finish lipsticks from this range. I do not like glossy lipsticks, so these are perfect for me. The red shade is great to have and looks very lady-like and it's not in-your-face bright. The nude shade is barely-there, so you can live without it, but it's great for everyday. I would not call these lipsticks very long lasting. They are much more long lasting than any others from this line, but they will not survive food or drinks, so touch-ups are needed after a few hours.
Conclusion:  I am very happy with these lipsticks, I like them better than the glossy-finish ones. Application is ridiculously easy, so these are great for on-the-go. You know how some matt-finish lipsticks can be difficult to apply? Well these two do not have that problem. The nude shade is not very visible, it just gives your lips a nice matt-finish. The red shade is a stunner, and it's my favorite. In comparison to the Catrice matt lipsticks, Catrice lipsticks have a richer texture and are better pigmented than these.
This product is for you if: If you like matt finish lip products and want great lipsticks for a low price.

You should avoid this product if: If you want to avoid having dupes, you should note that the shade no.14 'Adorable matt!' is a dead-ringer for Wet'n'Wild's 'Smokin' Hot Pink'. The shades are almost exactly the same; however, there's a difference in texture: Wet'n'Wild has a dry texture, so it's more difficult to apply, and essence has a nice creamy texture, so it glides on the lips and is applied easily. Also, the Wet'n'Wild lipstick makes your lips look more dry, while essence doesn't look drying on the lips. I like essence better.
