Nail Look: Ombre Pink With Water Decals

Hey guys! Yes, I'm wearing Ombre nails again. How can I not? They look so pretty, they're so much fun, and this gorgeous weather we've been having just screams 'Ombre'. This nail look is simple to create, yet is guaranteed to draw attention. After a few months of having problems with my nails (they got so short), I finally got them to grow longer (thanks Eveline 8in1), so I'm enjoying my long nails again.

Nail Fail: The Ugly Edition

Hey everyone! The title says it all, this post is featuring the less flattering nail looks. Some of these are here because the execution of a good idea went wrong, some are here because the idea was wrong to begin with. And some are here because the photos didn't turn out well. Anyways, here is the Nail Fail post.

The problem with the look above was the ring finger. In order to dry the nail polish faster on the other fingers, I applied some oil. Somehow the oil got onto the ring finger, and the nail pearls would not stick to the nail polish. They just slid off. So this look was ruined (but it was ugly anyways). The pink nail polish is from an old essence collection, the white pearls are Catrice LE, the pink pearls are essence. The white and black glitter is by Maybelline (Colorama, Polka Dots, no.197). On the pointer I'm wearing glitter from Catrice (old collection, no.40, I'm Dynamite), and on the pinky I used the Maybelline topper and a glitter nail polish by Smart Girls (LE, no.116). Turns out, I'm not a big fan of the smart girls glitter, it's difficult to pack on a lot. Or maybe I'm just over glitter. All in all, I do not like this look - it just looks wrong.
So here I'm wearing a shade by Catrice, Caught On The Red Carpet. It's a great shade, one of my absolute all-time favorites. I wanted to top it off with one of my favorite top coats from essence's Metal Glam limited edition. Here are the results:
What happened was, the nail polish with the gold flakes ruined the base, it pulled it off, and that's why you can see the uneven red coat underneath. All in all, it would be good in my opinion for essence to put this gold flakes top coat in the standard range. You just have to be careful and always apply a transparent top coat first, so the gold flakes do not ruin the base color. I love how this polish looks and I've worn it a lot. You probably remember this polish, it was in high demand when this trend edition was out:
Here is one gold and bronze look:
I didn't like this gold look because I felt like my nails looked like duck feet (if that makes sense). I applied the nail polish wider towards the tip of the nail, that's why it looks weird. This polish is by Catrice, no.910, Oh My Goldness, and here I am wearing 3 (or maybe even 4) coats. So, not a fun polish, and it doesn't look very good layered over other polishes. Also, the pictures kinda suck.
This last look had two huge flaws. The first problem was that the photos came out really weird, my skin looks blue, it's really creepy (the one featured above is one of the better pictures LMAO). The other problem was that this nail polish was too liquid and it spilled towards my cuticles. When this happens, it's impossible to clean it, and it looks really bad (looks messy). I'm wearing a nail water decal from KKCenterHK (CLICK HERE), which I love, but unfortunately, the nail sticker does not have the white parts between the petals. So, it was barely visible over the red background. That's why it really only looks good over white nail polish.

So that's the Nail Fail post. Do you enjoy seeing these fail posts? Let me know in the comments, and thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to follow me.

Ombre Nail Look: White To Purple

Hey guys! Well, we all saw this coming: one more Ombre nail look from me. Does it seem like I'm always wearing Ombre nails? But can you blame me? My hands look so fun (or crazy? I'm gonna go with fun). What I'm loving about this look is the super shiny top coat that tied it all together.

Products used (from thumb until pinky):
Base coat: essence, Studio nails, XXL nail thickener: This base peels off in chunks if you wear it alone. I do not think it does much for my nails. I got it during the last sale, so it should no longer be available.
essence, nail art, Stampy polish, 001 white: This polish is great for stamping, but not great when worn alone. It cracks easily and is very streaky, and the texture is like rubber.
Maybelline, mini colorama, 26 candy bar: This is an old polish, but it's better than I remember (I'm trying to use up some of my older polishes). Surprisingly, it gives even coverage. I love this shade of bubblegum pink.
Catrice, 030 Meet Me At Coral Island: An old polish with even coverage. This shade is closer to orange than to coral.
essence, colour&go, old pink polish: I loved this old line better than the new one. And now the new one will be on sale (all the polishes are leaving), and the new polishes are coming out. I love essence polishes, there are great ones in their collection. This one has the best texture and covers in one coat.
Catrice, 120 Plum Play With Me: Another oldie, I'm wearing two coats. Gives even coverage, but it's too dark, the purple color gets lost and all you see is black.
essence, Studio nails, better than gel nails, top sealer: Loving this top coat! Top coats are very important when you're wearing Ombre nails - they tie everything together. This one dries insanely fast and it's so shiny.

So I wore yet another Ombre nail look. What do you think? To me, these look fabulous! I'm so wearing Ombre tomorrow as well! What do you think of this color combo?

Snow Yeti Nail Look

Ola loves! :) Today's nail look was so much fun to wear. I love fluffy nail powder, but also, who doesn't love Yeti stories? Bwahahaha mystery! I've always loved Yeti stories because they never scared me, they were just funny! This powder will also come in great for winter or Christmas nail looks.

Products used:
Nail powder: N.NAIL Lovely Villus Nail Art Decorations-White [NNAIL-DRN861]
You can check out this product HERE, or browse through the KKCenterHk website HERE
I've also reviewed black fluffy powder from KKCenterHk, review HERE
There isn't much to be said: these nail velvet powders are easy to use, long lasting and look amazing. I highly recommend these products, because they're awesome.
Nail polish used: Maybelline COLORAMA, no. 51 (a little too watery and transparent for me).
I also did this weird nail look (photo below) with the white nail fluff, but I did not like the final result (meeeh, the stones are boring colors). Anyways, the nail polish used here is Maybelline COLORAMA, no. 70 (the perfect nude shade).
So, any nail fluff fans out there? What do you think of bright white nails in general? Yaaay or Naaay?? Thanks for stopping by, don't forget to follow me on all my social media.

Love, J.

Nail Look: Red Roses Water Decals

Bright white nail polish combined with red roses creates one awesome nail look.
Products used:
Rose water decals: KKCenterHk, N.NAIL FOREVER LOVE Word And Rose Valentine's Day Decals [NNAIL-WDHHH060]
These water decals are amazing quality, they are strong and will not break or bend, and are very shiny. To use them, just cut out the desired piece, put it in water for 10 minutes, and once it slides off the paper, put it on your nail and secure with top coat. These rose water decals are my favorites, they're very effective and they look stunning. However, though they look amazing on white, the water decals are only made of red and green color, so if you were to place them on red nail polish, you wouldn't get the white lines that make these roses stand out. So, just wear them over white nail polish. I love the way these look, they're so 80s rock'n'roll. Rating: 10/10
Where to purchase this product: CLICK HERE
Other KKCenterHk products I've reviewed: CLICK HERE

Other products used:
Avon, Nail experts, Peeling and brittleness solver: dries my nails.
essence, nail art, stampy polish, 001 white: best to use this only for stamping, and not as nail polish.
Maybelline, Colorama, no.51: too watery and transparent, also slow drying (because you need 4 layers).
Maybelline, Colorama, Polka Dots, no.197: gorgeous, and goes with anything.
essence studio nails, top sealer: my favorite top coat.
Nail sugar pearls: Catrice limited edition, Candy Shock, shade 'Cotton Candy': they last for over 5 days, amazing, right?!
essence nail art, express dry drops
Are you guys into this look? Lately I've been into white nails, they look so chic. And they'll look even better once a get a little tan going. Thanks for stopping by, let me know what you think, and I'll see you soon,

Love, Jelena

Nail Look: Coral Polka Dots

Products used for this look:
1 x Essence Studio Nails 24/7 nail base: This base looks very good alone, it gives my nails a nice transparent matte look. However, it's not a good nail base because it gets pulled when you apply polish over it, so you're left with streaks on the nails. Also it provides no protection whatsoever.
2 x Catrice ''030 Meet Me At Coral Island'': This nail polish dyed my nails yellow/pink even though I had a base coat underneath. Yuck! I mean, the shade is great, but the quality of the polish - is not.
1 x Maybelline Polka Dots, no.197: Great product, it's fast drying and fun to use.
I loved wearing this look, even though unfortunately it chipped quickly. This is a Catrice polish I've had for a long time, and I just don't enjoy it: the shade is great, but the texture (and the smell) is not. But all in all, it's a fun everyday look - pretty cute, right?
Anyways, thanks for stopping by, don't forget to follow me.

Panda Nails - KKCenterHk Review

Products used for this look
Essence Studio Nails 24/7 nail base - I'm not sure if this is still available. I don't like it, this polish always mixes with the nail polish I put over it, and ruins the entire look. Besides, some polishes would stain my nails even despite this base, so it doesn't do a very good job. But it looks amazing by itself - it's a transparent matte shade ;)
3 x Maybelline COLORAMA 51 - Too transparent for my taste, but the texture is good. Unfortunately, it's very slow drying, which is why there's a dent on my thumb.
Essence studio nails, better than gel nails, top sealer - This one is not good for water decals, the brush is rough and it pulls them and damages them, otherwise it's a good product, these essence top coats are really great.
Maybelline COLORAMA Polka Dots, 197 - Worn on the small finger, I'm loving this polish, it's amazing and very cute.

N.NAIL Baby TarePanda Water Decals Nail Art [NNAIL-WDSY778] from KKCenterHk
Link for this product: HERE
I'm LOVING these water decals, they're so easy to use, and they look amazing. The leaves are so pretty, and who doesn't like pandas? What ruined this look is the top coat, which has a very rough brush, and it damaged my panda (#sadface), so I was careful with other nails and I made it work. I need to use a different top coat next time. Overall, I love water decals, they make your nails look fabulous in a few seconds, and they're very easy to use. I highly recommend them.

What do you think of this look? Panda nails - Yay or Nay? Thanks for stopping by, see you soon

Pink Skittle Nail Look - Obnoxious Royal

Products used for this look:
Index: essence, colour&go, sparkle sand effect, no. 182, 'Hello Rosy' (new)
Middle: essence, colour&go, no. 104, 'Sweet As Candy'
Nail decorations: from a nail art wheel (Offertissima), some from an old essence collection
Ring: essence, colour&go (old collection)
Velvet powder: essence limited edition, Guerilla Gardening, no. 02 'Mission Flower'
Small: Yolizul, no.221
Nail sugar pearls: Catrice limited edition, Candy Shock, shade 'Cotton Candy'

I like the new sparkle sand effect polish from essence (hello rosy). It's a little difficult to apply evenly, but once dry, it looks great and has a great sandy texture, I recommend it. I loved wearing the velvet nail powder. It gives such a great feeling, it's not inconvenient or weird like I thought it might be. If you haven't, you should really try this form of nail art. The nail sugar pears I bought a long time ago in a limited edition collection by Catrice. I am only using it now for the first time, and I really like it. I was surprised how well they stick to the nail, and they can make it 2-3 days. I think these are great for wedding nail art.
At first I wore these nails (photo below), but I decided I don't like it, so I switched it up. Which of these two looks do you prefer? I like the look with nail decorations, I felt like I was an obnoxious Royal (in a good way, LOL).
What do you think of this look? Would you wear it? Which nail is your favorite? Let me know, and thanks for stopping by, don't forget to follow me on bloglovin, GFC, twitter or Facebook.

Pink Ombre Nail Look

Thumb: L'oreal no. 603 (old) - 1 coat
Index: Catrice, 360 Raspberry Fields Forever (old) - (this shade is a bit off for this look)
Middle: Essence (old) - 1 coat
Ring: Maybelline, 26 Candy Bar (old) - 3 coats
Small: S-he (dm's brand), 115*/121 - 2 coats

You know how much I love wearing Ombre nails, so here is one more Ombre look - the main color theme is pink. Personally, what I loved the most about this look was how good white nail polish looks. Damn! I'll be wearing more white nail polish now. I saw this ombre look on Workplaypolish and I had to recreate it. Check out her work HERE and HERE.
What do you think of this? Do you wear all-white nails? Well I think this looks fab...Thanks for reading, see you soon.

xoxo, Jelena
