Moment Make Up Photo Spam

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm sure all girls in Croatia know that Moment make-up is available at Offertissima stores. As for the rest of Europe, I'm not sure where these are available. This is a cheap make-up collection coming from Spain. Nail polishes are 9kn, rest of the products usually 8-12kn (so between 1-2 euro). They've got some awesome glitter nail polishes. Overall, their quality is the same as the cheaper drugstore brands. Their packaging  is so cute, so I thought I might share this beauty. The polishes smell a bit, but the dry time is ok, so overall I'm happy with these. And now - the photo spam.
This make up brand does have other stuff available. They eyeshadows look cute, but I might try the Mate lipsticks. They're only 8kn. I might even get the black one. <3
Have you been to Offertissima? Sometimes they have really cute stuff, and really cheap. I've always stayed away from the make-up because I thought that if it's cheap, it has to suck. But really, it's only a little cheaper than essence, so I guess they're not that different, and I buy essence products all the time. What are your experiences with Moment make-up?

Four Amazing Body Products

Happy Thor's day! First of all, sorry for the lack of nail polish related posts. Winter has come and my hands are a mess and my nails are so short and weak. I'm drinking some special vitamins, so we'll see if that'll work. Anyways, today I wanted to talk about four body products that I've been using and they're all amazing.
Balea Creme-Oil Bodylotion, Limited edition: Balea is dm's own brand. This is by far my favorite body product ever. Seriously. Leaves my skin smooth for days. Easy, smooth application. And the smell is to die for, and it's so subtle and light. There is also another version of this product available, the packaging is very similar, but the other one has pistachio. 10/10
Balea Shower Peeling, Buttermilk & Lemon, Limited Edition: This peeling shower gel smells amazing, and it does the job well. Leaves my skin smooth and soft, and it's not too rough. I've been looking for a great shower peeling, and I've finally found it. Easy to open and close so it's easy to use in the shower (I hate products that I can't open so I end up breaking a nail aaargh!). Great product. 10/10
Neutrogena Deep Moisture Body Lotion - Dry Skin: This product comes in a few versions, I got the one for dry skin. The non-greasy, fast absorbing formula leaves your skin moisturized. This product is supposed to be applied after taking a shower/bath. I love the smell of it (that typical body-lotion smell). And it does leave my skin soft and silky. However, I am not too happy about the packaging. I just prefer different a kind of packaging, though this is more convenient to use. You get 250ml of product. I need this for the winter because my skin gets so dry. I actually do prefer the Balea bodylotion more than this product. 8/10
Neutrogena Fast Absorbing Light Balm: The smell is amazing, the kind rich body creams have. I love the packaging, it's easy to use in a hurry. It applies easy and covers well and has a very light texture. It doesn't leave your skin sticky, so you can put clothes on right after application. I've used it also on my hands and I've been loving it, you only need a small amount and your dry skin feels instantly nourished. It really is fast absorbing. You get 300ml, and I got it in dm when it was 50% off, so it's was a great deal. There are three different kinds you can choose from to best suit your skin's needs. 10/10

I saw the Balea peeling gel on this BLOG and it was a great recommendation, and I found out about the Balea bodylotion on a blog by a girl called Josipa, and I just can't seem to find her blog so I can link it here. :( If I find it later, I'll add it. FOUND IT! LINK Lately I've been trying out products that bloggers have been recommending and I've found some amazing stuff. Have you tried any of these out? Does your skin need special care during the winter? I actually have very oily skin, but come winter, and the skin on my body becomes super dry. So I need to put lotions all the time (It puts the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again LOL). I'm so happy I found some great products. Bring it on Winter, I'm ready! ;)

Preview: Essence Kalinka Beauty Limited Edition Collection

Hey everyone. Just wanted to show you guys (in case you haven't seen it already) this adorable limited edition collection by essence. It will be available in January 2014. In Croatia we will get it in Muller stores.
This blush is so adorable - the packaging is so cute, I love the peachy shade. I also love the gradient in the blush. It's just what I was looking for. This is on my To-Buy list. When I get it, I'll try to put it on my blog that same day or the next day, so you guys can see a swatch. I'm so excited about this product!

These duo lip creams - I'm not sure what to think. I love the packaging - the same as the one for the essence concealer. But I'm not crazy about the shades. The red one might be ok, though. I'll have to wait to see it in person. The packaging contains one matt and one shiny formula. Available in 01 meet me @ red square and 02 east side story.

Can you believe, I only have two mono eyeshadows by essence. Anyways, all the eyeshadows by essence I've tried out were really great, so I'm sure they'll be good quality. These three shades have a creamy texture, so I'm not sure if I'll get them. The apricot shade is most appealing to me.

I think I'll get both these eyebrow stylers because the shades look just like what I've been looking for. I need more browns. These might be really amazing.
These nail polishes have a pearl effect, so I think I'll pass. The blue is gorgeous, though.

Hair mascaras. Not for me. It would be fun if essence would come out with pink, purple or blue hair mascaras. These shades don't appeal to me.
Cute purse design, but it seems like it might be difficult to put items in there..
You know, these single lashes be great for some bold looks. I've used essence's false lashes before, and they didn't disappoint, but sometimes they seemed too large. I'll have to take a better look in the store...

This is a lip brush. You're supposed to use it with the duo lip creams from this collection. Looking at the picture, it doesn't seem like it would help application, I do enjoy really precise brushes. I might change my mind once I see it.

Anyways, that's the whole collection. I really love the cute packaging of the blush, so I'll be on the hunt for that. What do you think about this collection? Do you prefer Catrice's limited editions?

Friends & Followers Giveaway

Welcome to you ... my friends and followers!

My first post in my humble and often
wandering rambling blog was on
May 28, 2010 ... not so long ago in days,
but so very many lifetimes ago.
I do not recall when I reached 503 followers,
though I am grateful for each of you!
Nor am I aware of when I surpassed the 300th
post ... certainly I haven't had much wisdom
to share or I'd have remembered right?

What I do know, and think of often ... are
the wonderful, wonderful quilters, bloggers,
... FRIENDS ... I have met through this blog.

Those of you who visit with me often know
my stance on kindness, my belief in a kind word,
and while I will not rant on that again today,
but I do want to share with all of you my
utmost gratitude for those people who have
made such a difference in my life through this
blog ... Mary of Quilt Hollow was one of the
very first to make such an indelible impression
on this newbie blogger all those posts ago ...
she may not remember why,
but I do and thank her for it!

I also know for a fact that my blog would not
be nearly what it is today if not for the grace
and intelligence of a very dear
Cheerleader Madame Samm.
She chooses to lead Sew We Quilt,
our online quilting bee of which I am
grateful to belong and participate ...
She shares, inspires, and CHEERS for so many,
I am proud and honored to think of her as friend.

But beyond anything, I would not have reason
to share my ramblings and sometime creative
endeavors were it not for my friends and followers
who chose to visit me from time to time and
are so very kind to leave encouraging words...
There are so many, many for whom I am grateful
that I would be afraid of leaving any out,
so instead, to all, I humbly say ...

Thank you!

For offering of my gratitude, I share with you
what has been in my head for quite some time
just waiting to be taken out and created ...
just for one of you ...

Saturday morning I started with a scrap of
Minkee, drafting paper, and some bits and
pieces from my fabric stash:

Teddy ~ in the making ...
A close up of the material for color purposes since the
weather did not cooperate for proper picture taking ...

What I ended up with is of my own design and quilting:
Thank You Teddy ~ 20 x 22 inches

Please forgive the pictures ...
the clouds and rain did not assist in proper
picture taking, but I did not want to wait
any longer to post this giveaway ...

I adore teddy bears ... the soft and fuzzy
squeeze-ability of them ... they often become
our best friends as children and become reminders
of childhood friends long into adulthood.

Therefore, once this Teddy entered my
head, asking to be created, I couldn't resist
the idea of adding the thank you ...
In fact, I already have a few more in the works
with different colors and different words
on the banner above ...
stay tuned for more shares :)
especially since my daughters haven't seen this one yet {grin}

I did purposefully create this hanging
in muted colors, hoping it would work in
with more decor by doing so ...

This giveaway is open to the followers of
Why Knot Kwilt and to my Facebook friends

Lips Care Products I've Been Using

Hey Everyone! Today I'll talk a bit about some lip products I've been using lately. During the winter I have very dry lips, so proper care is very important to me. So let's get started!
Labello LIP BUTTER: Vanilla & Macadamia; Raspberry Rose - Great texture, the name says it right -they really have a butter-like texture. Both products smell and taste amazing. They do their job very well and keep my lips moisturized. Packaging is cute, and I can put it in my purse and it won't open. They are on sale in Dm stores in Croatia until the end of this month, so you might want to take advantage of that. Price: 18kn.
CARMEX, moisturising lip balm: Hands down the best product here. When I first tried it, it felt as if it stung, as if my lips were swollen (most people say it 'tingles' a bit). I kept on using it, got used to the feeling and I've used it up already! I didn't want to use any other product, because I fell in love with this one. It stays on forever, no need to re-apply, protects my lips and nourishes them. It feels like wax, in the sense that it provides a very strong but thin protection. Great for winter. I got it at Muller. I highly recommend it. Price: 21kn
Balea Vaseline: I got this at Dm (Balea is Dm's own brand). I apply it before I go to bed. It makes my lips very smooth and soft. You can also use this for your hands or cuticles. Great product. I recommend it. Price: 10kn.
Rosal LipBalm So Natural: I keep this product in my purse because it's perfect and just what I need when I'm in a hurry. Smooth and light texture, stays on. No scent or smell. It's great. Price: 18kn.
Muller CadeaVera Classic Lip Balm: This is a lip balm by Muller's own brand, CadeaVera. I do not recommend it. The texture is good, but the product has a strange smell. If I lick my lips, this product makes me cough. Weird, right? There are better products out there in the same price range, so I won't be buying this again. Price: around 14kn

Now, I also wanted to talk quickly about a few products I've been loving. They're not really 'lips care', but having healthy teeth and a beautiful smile is as important as having soft, moisturized lips.
Dm Dontodent Brillant Weiss Zahnband: This dental floss by dm's own brand 'Dontodent' is the best dental floss I've ever tried. It's just the right thickness, not too thin, not too thick, doesn't get stuck while flossing. If you're unhappy about the floss you've been using, try this one. I seriously can't live without this. Price: half the price of other dental flosses and about ten times better.
Muller Sensident Fresh Mouthwash: This is my favorite mouthwash ever. It does the job well, but isn't too aggressive so that my mouth burns afterwards (which is the main problem I've had with other mouthwash products). I don't recommend the green version, but this blue one has not let me down. I've re-purchased this over and over again. Price: 9kn.

Have you been using any of these products? Do they work for you? Let me know in the comments! See you again soon, thanks for stopping by! ;)

Review: Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean Deep Pore Cleanser

Happy Thor's Day! Just wanted to talk really quickly about this product because I'm loving it. It's from a brand called Formula 10.0.6, and in Croatia it's available in Kozmo (price: 50kn for 200ml). It's called 'So Totally Clean'. It's a tonic/cleanser, so you use it on your face and neck after you've removed all the make-up and cleaned your face. Do not rinse it off. I've seen on some blogs that bloggers were recommending the other cleanser from this brand (the green one with cucumber), so I went to the store to get that one. When I got there, I saw them both standing next to each other and couldn't decide which one to get. Everyone has been praising the green one, but somehow this orange one seemed better suited for my skin type (I have really oily skin, lots of sebum).
So I ended up grabbing this one. This product has amazed me. I guess the difference between the two is, this one is more aggressive than the green one. I've been using it a lot and it had a positive effect on my skin. Of course, this is a very difficult thing to do - recommending someone a skin care product. We all have different skin types, what works for me, may not work for you, so keep that in mind. This didn't burn my skin, didn't irritate my skin or cause redness. In the past I've had problems with tonics that were so aggressive they would dry out my super oily skin, but this product HAS NEVER done this. After I use it, my skin feels fresh and clean. Don't use too much product, though. You're only supposed to use a small amount because this product contains alcohol, so don't pour too much onto the cotton pad.
As far as the smell goes...this product is not scented, but it has a sweet-alcohol smell. But I got used to it, and now I look forward to smelling like this haha. The smell goes away anyways about 5-10 minutes after application. This product works great with my foundation and preps my face well for make-up. I love the packaging, it's sturdy and also easy to use, so you don't spill product or waste it.  From the packaging of this product, I guess you could say it's targeted for teenagers, but I am not a teenager anymore, and yet I think this product works really well.

Now, let me be very clear, if you have sensitive skin, or dry skin, then I suggest using the green cleanser. This product hasn't caused ME any redness or irritation, but if you have sensitive skin, I think the green version might be better suited for you. ;) From my experience, I do not think this product is for people with dry-ish skin, and keep in my mind it does contain alcohol.
I rate this 10/10, BUT ONLY IF you have oily non-sensitive skin.
I love this product. I will re-purchase. I know lots of girls have tried the green version, but has anyone tried this one? I'm interested in your experiences. This is the only product from this brand I've tried so far. They have a face mask and pore strips that look interesting, and also, I might try the green cleanser eventually. Thanks for stopping by!

Balea Lip Balm Juicy Orange

Hey everyone! I got this limited edition lip balm in dm last week. It's called Juicy Orange. The packaging is cute and you get 10g of product for 10kn (around 1.5 euro). Now, as far as the smell/flavor goes, I wouldn't say it's orange...it's more tangerine gone bad, if you know what I mean. I really don't like the smell, personally I prefer vanilla or raspberry...but that's a matter of personal preference. The smell fades away after a while anyways. The product seems to be working good and keeps my lips moisturized. I'll be on the lookout for more cute lip balms from Balea.
This is the first Balea lip balm that I got. Have you tried them out before?
